Good news, everyone! Recently we pointed a spotlight on our new Start to Run instructors. But they aren't the only new Running instructors that are ready to inspire you. Meet Lisa! She arrived in Brussels the beginning of November last year (happy anniversary Lisa) and she has been giving sessions since September of this year. So after you've dipped your toes into the running world with Wim and Fiona, Lisa is ready to help you continue your running journey with Running Quality and Running Cross sessions.
Running Quality with Lisa every Wednesday 19:30-20:30 in Parc du Woluwe. Meeting point: close to the Chien Vert stop (36, 39, 44) on Rue de Bemel.
These one-hour sessions will improve your running technique, strength, and speed. Suits regular and experienced runners.
Running Cross (& Start to Run) on Saturdays at 10:00. Meeting point: Place Luxembourg in front of Station Europe.
This is varied, all-around training sessions where you challenge your body in different stations – muscle strength, intervals, etc. It is a proper and varied outdoor session with work in "stations", and where the running between the stations is meant as recovery period, so the tempo is low and the group will loop as necessary. This session can been seen as a bridge between indoor and outdoor sessions, inviting our indoor participants to do similar exercises but in fresh air. The sessions suits both experienced and regular runners. These Saturday sessions at Place du Luxembourg alternate each week between Running Cross and Start to Run (eg Running Cross started October 2, and Start to Run October 9, and so on).

Lisa Erkander
Running Quality & Running Cross
Originally from Sweden, Lisa joined Friskis in 2019, which she points out isn't long enough. She loved it so much that she became an instructor. The training course was so much fun that she recommends it to everyone.
Lisa had already begun her Friskis instructor career in Sweden but has been delighted by the welcoming atmosphere that she experienced at F&S Brussels.
She loves the fact F&S knows how to make working out fun – in a group, with nice people and classes outside. What more do you need? Lisa's life motto and favorite word is “rörelseglädje”. It is Swedish and means that exercise and movement make you happy. That is true for everyone and is at the heart of the Friskis experience.
