Re-Introducing Virtual Friskis

Enjoy Live Friskis Sessions from the comfort of your own home

As we find ourselves having to deal with a new lockdown it's normal if you're feeling lonely, isolated and missing your favorite Friskis sessions during the Coronavirus pandemic. Well fear not, cause help is on the way! During these difficult times, we need to help each other as much as possible (while keeping a safe distance) and Friskis&Svettis Brussels is happy to do it's part.

This is why we are re-introducing our Virtual Friskis initiative in which we will be bringing you live and pre-recorded sessions. This way we can workout together and be together even when we’re apart.

1) Live Zoom Sessions: We will be bringing you live virtual sessions every single day via Zoom! We wanted to provide you all with a more interactive workout experience and provide direct contact between the instructor and our members. These sessions are exclusive to Friskis members and you have to book your sessions through the membership portal just like you would for an classic "in person" session. There is room for 100 participants per session so don't worry... there is plenty of room for everyone.

Once you have booked your session you will be sent the confirmation email with the Zoom link allowing you to access the session. The Zoom link will also appear in the session description on the boking portal after you book. Friskis will be hosting the Zoom session so you don't need to have your own Zoom account. All you need to do is click on the Zoom link and you will be automatically taken to your selected session.

Here is some more useful info about the session:

  • These are live sessions so please try to be on time.
  • Participants will be muted on entry so they won't disturb the session. If they have any comments or encouragements for the instructor there is a chat option for them.
  • We recommend that you keep your cameras on so that you can all see each other (but if you'd rather keep it off you are free to do so of course)
  • We also recommend that you set your Zoom to speaker view (rather than gallery view) so that you can focus on following the instructor (but again if you prefer you can set it to gallery view instead)
  • If you plan on following the session on your phone rather than on a laptop then we recommend that you first download the zoom app.

2) Pre-recorded YouTube Sessions: Earlier this year we already released, on our YouTube channel, a series of video sessions done by our instructors which you can follow at your leisure from the safety and comfort of your home. The sessions are 100% free and available to all. We have now started to add new pre-recorded sessions which you can now discover at your leisure. You can enjoy all the sessions here.

3) Spotify Playlist: Already missing the happy Friskis vibes? Our Spotify playlists help you bring the Friskis spirit into your own home. Don't forget to check out our playlists from our instructors and keep moving with Friskis. We just added some new ones from Autumn sessions which you can enjoy here.

These initiatives are all part of our commitment to the members of our Friskis community and our desire to do our part during these turbulent times. We sincerely hope you enjoy them.
