Join a 20km Walking Tour of the City
06 October 2024
On Sunday, October 20, Anita Bernroitner, a seasonal Nordic-Walk member of Friskis, will organize a 20-km walking tour in Brussels from the Atomium (meeting point) up to the Porte de Halle.
Itinerary of the hike: Atomium > Parc d’Osseghem > Jardin Colonial > Jardins du Fleuriste > Parc Thur et Taxis > Jardin Botanique > Parc de Bruxelles > Mont des Arts > Place Poelaert > Èglise Saint-Augustin > Parc Duden > Parc de la Porte de Hal). The walk will offer us great views of Brussels and culminate with a climb of the Saint-Augustin Church tower (Altitude 100 – a church/highest point of Brussels) for a breathtaking 360-degree view over the city.
The event is limited to a max. of 30 participants. Only children capable of walking 20k can participate in the hike. The event starts at 9:15 am. Since it's a whole day event, we will have a lunch break close to Place Madou. Lunch cost is at charge of the participants.
Please bring a contribution of 5€/participant in cash for the guided church tower tour. The contribution goes towards the rebuilding of the St Augustin’s church. The event is open to all, provided accompanied by a Friskis member.
After enrolling at the event through our regular enrollment system, you will receive an email with all the practical details of the day: meeting point, lunch place, contribution payment, etc… Registration is possible as of today! To register, please use our app or go to our membership portal and sign in as a member or guest. You can find this special event faster by selecting "Atomium" from the zone list.
