Call for new Friskis Brussels Board volunteers

Do you like to motivate people? Do you want to know more about the workings of Friskis and have the time and possibility to help out in the organisation? If your answer is YES, then we need you! As you know, Friskis&Svettis is a volunteer-run organization aimed at promoting physical exercise as a key element to maintain good health, and to as many people as possible in a fun and relaxed way, and to promote a feeling of wellbeing to all our members.
 
One of the key groups to make all this happen is the Board. Its job is to make sure the club is run in accordance with the principles of the Swedish mother organisation and taking the responsibility for the overall strategy, while keeping in contact with the executing Teams. The Board is elected every year at the AGM (Annual General Meeting), often with a rotation of some members, and currently consists of 5 volunteers: Calle, Claire, Jeroen, Lyn and Sibylle. The next AGM will take place in May 2025, and we are now looking for new candidate Board Members.

The Election Committee’s job is to find the best possible future Board. But to do that we would need your help: We want YOU to be a CANDIDATE FOR THE BOARD! This is your chance to rise and shine by getting a big say in how our club is run. So don’t miss this opportunity to help determine the future of our club. Let’s work together to make our club SHINE and keep all volunteers motivated to give their best for the members.
 
You are:
 Motivated, willing, and able to give some of your time: 1 meeting/month in the Board and some other tasks in between, 2-5 hours/week of your time, to help Friskis&Svettis to continue its mission.
 Ready to adopt an empowering management style with the other Friskis Teams working hand in hand with the Board: i.e., live the values of Friskis.
 Committed to helping increase our membership numbers.
 A member within the club for at least 2 years. 
 
Experience from similar positions would be an advantage. If you check these boxes, we would be thrilled to talk with you and get a better understanding of your views and competences. (Even if you don’t, but are curious to see if there may be another possible volunteer role for you, you can also contact us.)
