Today is a sad day for Friskis as we have the unfortunate duty to inform you that our volunteer and instructor, Anne Peters, passed away last Sunday afternoon and is no longer with us. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones.

Truly there was no one more passionate or dedicated to Friskis and its ideals than Anne.
You’re obviously aware of all the amazing Medium and Station sessions she gave, but you might not realize all the tireless work she did for us and our members behind the scenes. Honestly the list is too long for us to enumerate. But quite simply, if you have interacted with Friskis in any way, it was usually Anne who was helping you solving your problem.
We can honestly say that F&S is a much sadder place without her for we have not only lost a beloved membe,r but most importantly we lost a dear friend.
For as long as we continue to remember her and all that she did for us… her spirit will endure.
Now if I know Anne, I know that she wouldn’t want us to make a fuss – that we should keep on working for the good of the Association that she so loved. But I’m going to respectfully disagree with her. We are Friskies, we are a family – so I think it’s only fair for us to mourn when we lose such a beloved and essential family member. So please take a moment to remember our dearly departed Anne before we honor her memory by dedicating ourselves to the organization that she loved.
